Commercial Divers are still doing the work!

The demand for underwater work is increasing, and there is still a heavy reliance on human intervention. Despite advances in technology, many underwater tasks, such as repairs, inspections, and maintenance, are best handled by skilled divers. These divers are trained to work in challenging underwater environments and can perform a wide range of tasks with precision and accuracy.

While there are some underwater robots and remotely operated vehicles that can assist with certain tasks, they are not yet advanced enough to handle all of the necessary interventions. As a result, skilled divers continue to be in high demand for various underwater projects, from offshore oil rigs to underwater construction and infrastructure maintenance. The need for human intervention in underwater work is likely to persist for the foreseeable future.

Underwater Robotics needs a change!!!

As robotics engineers, our goal is to revolutionize the marine industry by developing a more accessible and cost-effective alternative to human divers for underwater operations. We aim to address the limitations of current work class ROVs by the follow steps:.

Make Underwater Robot More accessible

By reducing the size and weight of our robot system, we can make it more maneuverable and easier to deploy, especially for smaller-scale operations. This will help bring advanced underwater capabilities to a broader range of companies and applications.

Increased Capability

We are electrifying our robotics technology to enhance the system's energy efficiency, reduce maintenance, and expand its operational capabilities. Additionally, we are improving the robot's hydrodynamics and dexterity to enable it to perform a wider range of complex, bi-manual underwater interventions and maintenance tasks with greater efficiency and precision.

To further improve accessibility, we are focused on enhancing the user experience by removing the need for a dedicated control system. This could involve integrating advanced autonomous systems, haptic feedback, or virtual/augmented reality interfaces to simplify the operation and monitoring of the robot, even for users with limited training.
